As a User of Culteva, you can read this manual to get started or if you want to learn about new and existing features.
To get started using Culteva and gaining access to a Demo, contact support@culteva.co.za or create an account by clicking the Register button at the top right of the Landing Page. We will be in contact with you to set up your Demo Organisation. Once your Organisation is set up, we will send an invitation via email to you to receive access to a demonstration Organisation of Culteva. Click the link provided in the invitation email. You will then be directed to the Culteva Dashboard where you will be able to start using Culteva.
When you have decided that you would like to subscribe to Culteva, inform us and we will then arrange the signage of our SaaS (Software as a service agreement) agreement with you and give you access to your Culteva license. (A SaaS agreement lays out terms and conditions of a software delivery model. In this type of model, software and data will be centrally hosted and users will access the software and data over the internet). In this document the security of your data on Culteva is also described in detail.
The Culteva™ Dashboard, is a web-based application accessible with a browser. The main focus of the dashboard is managing your Culteva Organisation, registering your evaluation Sites, Cultivars and Samples for evaluation and also for creating comprehensive and comparative Reports.
The below mentioned list includes some of the features of the Culteva dashboard:
- Manage your Organisations’ information
- Assign user roles
- Assign guest user roles
- Create evaluation Sites and / or evaluation Blocks
- Register/manage Cultivars and Rootstocks
- Register/manage evaluation Samples (Plant & Harvest Samples)
- Create/manage Custom Protocols and / or use existing protocols
- Upload/manage Weather Station Data
- Generate Sample Barcodes for tracking and data collection
- Group Samples for more convenient management and evaluation of Sample Groups
- Compile, view and share comprehensive Reports

The Culteva™ Web App can be accessed using a browser by entering the web address https://culteva.pro.
The Dashboard is normally used on a desktop or laptop computer for the best user experience, but can be accessed on a mobile phone or tablet.

To ensure you have the best user experience, please keep your browser up-to-date. We only support the latest version of the respective browsers.
To view the Dashboard, click 'Dashboard' at the top of the screen on the navigation bar (If logged in). To proceed to the Dashboard, all you need to do is log in, or you can register and send an email to support@culteva.co.za to receive a demonstration access to Culteva.
The Culteva Mobile Application is the accompanying application to the Culteva Dashboard and is mainly used for data collection.

- Go to the Google Play Store on your phone/tablet
- Search for "Culteva"
- Click on Install and wait for the application to download
- Once installed, you can log in with the same details you registered on the Dashboard as the two platforms are connected
- You will now be able to click the ‘Sync now” button on the Mobile Application and all the information from your Organisation will be downloaded to your mobile to be available offline
The Culteva Mobile Application allows you to:
- Collect data quickly and efficiently in the field or laboratory ‘on the go’
- Collect quantified data of a range of characteristic compiled for each crop type, collect measured data, take photos and compile notes
- Quickly find evaluation samples with comprehensive filter/search functions and the built in barcode scanner
- Use the application even when not in network range (Offline capabilities)
- After data collection and when you have online access, you will be able to click the ‘Sync now” button on the Mobile Application and all the data, photos and notes collected will be uploaded to your Dashboard and will be available to all Members of the Organisation and to compile Reports.
